As a working mom, I'm often in a rush, pushing transit time to the max to make sure I cross all the i's and dot all the t's between obligations. Monday morning was no different. So running late, I foolishly thought I'd try a shortcut to my new job to make sure I arrived on time. Instead I found myself stuck for several minutes on a side street trying to turn left onto a major road in the middle of rush hour. Just as I thought I had a chance in the break of traffic, a commercial truck pulled up with the right of way. But the driver, realizing my predicament, stopped short so I could squeeze out before he turned. It really made all the difference because without his act of kindness, I would have undoubtably been late for work on a Monday morning. So very thoughtful of him and so appreciated.
