Why Having Pets Can Impact Your Life in a Positive Way

My entire life I’ve grown up having pets. My first dog was our Saint Bernard, Pierre. There’s a hilarious picture of us when I was just a baby laying on the couch together while I pulled his hair and he was covering his face with his paws. He’s so gentle, he would never hurt a fly He loved everyone and had the kindest smiled and he would always get everyone laughing when he would howl at firetruck sirens. His neighborhood best friend was a Samoyed named Portia, and they loved to play for hours at a time. And even though he’s not here anymore, he was the best and always made me feel safe. Whenever I think of him I am greeted by our happy memories together. Pierre taught the the unconditional love from an animal

Around April of 2023 we introduced Cookie the bunny into our family. He might be small, but Cookie’s full of energy and has very feisty ands a fierce personality. I love to try and capture his hilarious jumps and hops on his Instagram account (https://www.instagram.com/crazyforcookiebun) with many followers. Cookie is also very close to my younger sister he loves to give her kisses and once snuck a haircut!

I love hanging out with Cookie because he gives me kisses and is great for company and cuddles. We all love Cookie so much and feel so blessed to have him in our lives.

Then a couple months later our lives changes again and a 12 week old Golden Retriever Lab puppy, Penny came into our lives. Penny is a big baby, a true love bug! She loves to cuddle and has the cutest face with big eyes. She is growing fast and has a personality to match.

Having pets around means there’s always someone to play with, talk to, and share secrets with. They have also shown me that love is shown in actions, not words.

They make me feel so loved no matter what, and I’m so lucky to have them in my life.
